Why should I support this site?

I have written this site because I am passionate about family research. When I began, about 10 years ago, I jumped in with two-feet first, not understanding how vital it was to take an ordered approach.

I wasted many, many hours trawling the internet, clicking links left, right and centre, most of which took me nowhere I needed to go at that time.

This was partly because there are so few sites that take this 'one step at a time' approach, and I want you to avoid making the same mistake that I did.

However, maintaining a website is a huge time commitment, and also a financial one.

I aim to continue growing it, as I have much more left to write about, but need support to do so.

I am hoping to pay for it by advertising, and by donations. I do not make a profit from it, as returns are slight, but any income is a huge help.

I personally only donate to sites from which I feel I have gained something - knowledge, entertainment, a financial saving, or I feel it's supporting a good cause.
